MISSION STATEMENT
1.
Sharing the love of Jesus
We believe our purpose is to share the love of Jesus Christ with all people - big kids, little kids, babies, teens, mums, dads, aunties, uncles, grandparents - in the hope that they will come to personally know what it means to be forgiven, set free and in relationship with God.

All of the ROCK leaders have testimonies of how God has worked in their lives to show them their need for someone to save them from the wrong things they've done, and how Jesus died on the cross to take the penalty they deserve, and let them see themselves as God sees them.

No matter where along this journey we are, we are passionate to tell others about the joy and freedom we have found in Christ and to demonstrate the unconditional love of God to the people around us.

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone wil know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
John 13:34-35
2.
Sharing the truth of the Gospel
In all we do, we want to make sure that we are proclaiming the truth at ROCK, which is why all of the themes, stories and dramas in ROCK programs are firmly founded on what we read in the Bible.

We believe the Bible is God's living Word, and that what we read in the Bible has real power and can change us forever. The Bible is 100% infallible and every verse is there for a reason - nothing can be added to it, and nothing can be taken away.

The Bible teaches us about God, about His incredible rescue plan to save humanity from their sin by sending His Son Jesus to die on the cross and then rise again so that our debt can be paid and we can have God's Spirit living in us and enabling us to live His way.

'For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes...'
Romans 1:16a
3.
Serving the community
ROCK is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers with the support of St Andrews Presbyterian church and other Christian churches in the local area. ROCK provides free holiday programs, barbecues, cafe days, family fun nights and services in order to serve the local community, in the hope that people will see what it means to be loved and accepted, regardless of cultural, religious, racial and social barriers.

Ever person is precious to God and the Bible tells us that God desires that everyone should be saved! This is why ROCK aims to provide programs that allow people of all ages, from all walks of life, to feel welcomed, included and valued.

'You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbour as yourself." '
Galatians 5:13-14
4.
Building relationships
We want to get to know the people in our community and build relationships with them so that we can demonstrate God's love to them by helping those in need, by providing for the vulnerable, and by sharing the Good News about Jesus with people who feel hopeless.

God didn't create us to do life alone. We are social beings and we have an innate need for relationships with other people and with our loving Heavenly Father.

'The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners...'
Isaiah 61:1
