ROCK Ministries is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to sharing the good news about Jesus Christ with kids and their families through exciting, free holiday programs.
ROCK was established in 2003 by a small group of Christians from St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Clayton. The name 'ROCK' stands for 'Reaching Out to Clayton Kids' and reflects the aim of the organisation to reach people in the community with the message of hope and freedom in Jesus.
ROCK leaders are volunteers of high school age and older who are passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with their community. All ROCK leaders hold Working with Children cards and have received Safe Church training in compliance with government legislation.
ROCK Ministries runs free school holiday programs for children of kinder and primary school age at Namatjira Reserve, Clayton South in the Summer and Easter school holidays. ROCK provides a healthy, free morning tea of fruit and water for participants, as well as tea, coffee and snacks for parents and guardians.
ROCK also runs evening programs aimed at teenagers of high school age, in conjunction with ROCK Summer missions.
In addition, ROCK supports holiday programs run by Leongatha Presbyterian church in the second half of the year.
ROCK holiday programs are full of colour and action, and involve games, singing, dancing, drama, craft, puppets, treasure hunts and much more!
